Linto Creek Cowl

$5.00

The Linto Creek cowl is knit in the round on circular needles using a simple mock cable stitch pattern. There is no actual cabling! Just knit and purl.

This is the perfect cowl of all time. Its got drape like there’s no tomorrow. Springs like a slinky. Dimensional, simple stitching. Pleasantly reversible. Perfect length to wear long. Equally perfect length to wrap double. No curling. No rolling. No bunching. Nothing weird. No drama. Touchable to no end.

This pattern has been tested by a fabulous volunteer brigade of pattern testers. See the Projects tab for more information on their projects, as many of them substituted yarns you may be interested in.

This pattern used nearly two full skeins of Lang Asia, a yak silk blend that was dreamy beyond one’s wildest hopes for any yarn. Lang Asia is a fingering weight yarn.

I did not block this finished knit. This was my choice because of the yarn I selected. If you are knitting this cowl with a standard wool or other yarn that may benefit from blocking, please first knit and block a swatch to make sure you obtain a suitable gauge and generally like the results. Many of the pattern testers for the Linto Creek cowl substituted yarns. All reported blocking was essential to obtaining the correct gauge or ultimately adjusting the number of cast on stitches to obtain the desired dimensions. Please see the Ravelry Projects page for this pattern for more information on pattern testers’ yarn substitutions and associated yardage, gauge, and finished dimensions.

This pattern has written instructions and a clear, professional design layout.
